Valeria Stevens obtained her B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Houston. During her time as an undergraduate student, she did research with Professor Olafs Daugulis and she worked on synthesizing a variety of catalysts for C-H activation. Valeria was specifically interested in designing a wide variety of alpha-diimine ligands to make copper catalysts. She joined Rice University in Fall 2023. Valeria enjoys cooking, organizing, painting and plants in her free time.
